Where to Stay In Ct

We will be driving from Boston to the mid Hudson Valley NY area and would like to spend a night or two in CT. We are interested in seeing the hill country. We enjoy biking, antiquing, and short hikes to view the fall foliage. We will be travelling midweek and would appreciate suggestions for lodging and a scenic bike path..

You're talking about Northeast or Northwest CT. http://www.ctvisit.com/ I'd start in NE, CT's quiet corner. Lots of antiquing there http://www.antiquesmarketplace.com/

bike trails: www.traillink.com/trailsearch.aspx?state=CT

then on to Litchfield Hills in NW CT hike Mt. tom

there are a number of B&Bs and several nice inns in both areas- I'd pick one to stay 2 nights in

Stay around Litchfield Hills.

You can cross over to New York very easily from there travelling WEST.

Hudson Valley is right there......pick up Route 22 , or Highway 44 down towards Poughkeepsi---where Route 9 takes you towards Newburgh and Peekskill.
