Car Hire - Ford Mustang??

Hi, I am planning a trip to the states for my honeymoon (not for 3 years though!) and im trying to find out about car hire. Ideally we would like to hire a Ford Mustang Convertible for 3 weeks and go to florida and miami? Are there any car hire companies who can guarantee a Mustang on arrival and what are the possible costs involved for 3 weeks hire?

Thanks in advance

Budget seem to be about the only main stream company that has 'stangs available. We hired one in Orlando in May for several weeks through www.usrentacar.co.uk which had very reasonable prices compared to Budget themselves. At the moment it looks to be about 450GBP for 3 weeks, inclusive of insurances. You print off a voucher before you leave, turn up at the Budget counter with it at the airport and you're away. No problems. They can also do TomTom Sat Nav rentals if you need.

We're heading back to Tampa next month and will definitely use these guys again.

There are a few independent hire car places that have the full blooded V8 mustang GT's, such as www.4viprentacar.com but haven't tried them and you do pay about an extra 100GBP per week for the pleasure. But the V6 version from Budget still had a bit of go in it and a sporty feel.

Definitely go for the Mustang though, had great fun exploring the Keys in ours. The Chrysler Sebring's are for people with a few more grey hairs on their head.

Hope it helps!
