Florida flights

Is there a local shuttle service that flies from mainland Florida to the Keys? Something other than the major commercial carriers. Trying to get from Orlando or Miami down to Key West and the major airlines are pretty expensive with inconvenient times. Thanks

There are flights from Miami and Orlando, but there is a bus shuttle service from Miami, and a foot passenger ferry from Ft Myers.

Many fly to ft L or MIA and rent a car and to the drive- wonderful and scenic in day time.

Try those forums for details.

Flights into Key West have always been very limited ( small airport, short runway) and therefore very expensive. Many people fly into Fort Lauderdale and take a private land shuttle Keys Shuttle ( www.keysshuttle.com I think) from there. it is nicer than the Greyhound Bus and will get you to Key West in about 4 hrs. making a few stops at other keys enroute.

I don't know of any time /situation in which air flights to the Keys are ever inexpensive.
