Hello,

We will be on St George Island in mid August with 2 young kids and I need advise on places to dine and things to do, besides going to the beach.

Thank you!

Bayside Burgers on 260 Hwy. 98 in Eastpoint - big menu, great food and prices. See sgislandjourneys.com for kid adventures. Also in Panacea, fl http://www.gulfspecimen.org/about-us/.

Also, Aunt Ebby's for ice cream (cash only). Had to add that cause one year I got my ice cream and then found that out! Bingo at the Firehouse on Tuesday night (all ages welcome)...dress for no air conditioning. It was not bad though..lots of ceiling fans. 25 cents per game per card and you can play whatever games you want. 1/2 money collected to winner and last game all money collected to winnner. They have free attendance prizes in between all games. Da Island bingo was fun! Here is another place I heard good things about. I hear they have everyone once and the while presentations on Sea Turtles. This is right across the bridge in Eastpoint so it would be convenient. http://apalachicolareserve.com/vcnter.php Follow this link to Island Adventures website. There is a 10% coupon for your first purchase. http://sgislandadventures.com/130812.html I normally use it for bike rentals. Okay, that is all for today. Have a great trip!

In sgi the blue parrot is good and kid friendly. Bjs for pizza. And if you're up to cooking buy fresh seafood at dougs trailers. In appachicola. Boss oyster. And for a better meal Carolines or owl cafe.across from boss there's a fun antique shop that has lots of marine type stuff like sharks teeth the kids might enjoy
