New Years Camping in the Keys?

Hi Everyone,

We're trying to find a good place to go for the New Years holiday this year, we'll have our 30' camper in tow coming from VA...

We've done Boyds and Duval St several times in the past years and we're just looking for something different. We're not kids (in our mid 40's) nothing against family camping, but it's not what we're looking for, and we're not in wheelchairs yet...

We'd like to find a fun place to camp for about 4 or 5 days in the Keys or south Florida somewhere, we're trying to escape the cold for a while. We like to have adult beverages sitting around telling lies to other campers :0) We'd like to find a place that will be good for New Years, it can be at the campground or at a local watering hole close by (no driving involved).

Please let me know if you've found a place like this, time is running short and we're going to have to make reservations soon.

You may already be too late for campgrounds in the keys. Many book up way ahead of time. Most of the places in the upper keys are not real close to restaurants and bars. I think John Pennykamp in Key Largo would be your best bet. We have camped there and rode bikes to a couple different places to have drinks or a meal. You might also look on the gulf coast around Sarasota or Naples.
