age restriction on hotel rooms

If i take my 20 year old son to Florida on vacation is he allowed to have his own hotel room? i have been advised that he may have to stay in our room due to his age, surely this cannot be true?

As long as you are there and paying it should not be a problem. Its only when people under 25 try to rent a room on their own that hotels frown as they have many issues with the young spring break crowded.

My sons stayed in their own room younger.

As long as you're in the hotel, and paying for the room, it satisfies any under 21 rule
