Which beach to stay for a week that's affordable?

Hello,

I am a school teacher so on a tight budget. I will be traveling with my Mom. We love white sand Caribbean looking beaches.

We need help narrowing down a beach location and hotel accommodations. Is renting a condo better than a resort? We don't mind cooking. Looking for a simple easy vacation just to relax on the beach do some shopping.

Will be going around mid July. Any suggestion?

There are a whole lotta beaches in fl to choose from, so lets try and narrow it down.

You want White sand, that means Gulf coast not East?

Then there is seasonal rates. In the north IE panhandle, it will be High season, in Naples it won't be. North of Tampa/Clearwater you will find it high season, mid season south of there even low season some places (but kids out of school usually bumps it up to Mid).

Rentals tend to be cheaper than hotels over a period of a week or more, but you can get good rates on hotels booking head (or even using Hotwire).

Rental areas include Anna Maria island, Siesta key, Sanibel. Hotel areas include Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, Longboat key (also rentals), Lido Key, Fort Myers Beach (also rentals).

Which airport will you fly into?
