The cruise docks at 7am. Can I catch a plane at 8:13am?
The ships docks where? Honolulu? Which cruise line?
You should post on the Forum for the Island where you will disembark. This is the generic Forum for the entire State.
No, you won't. You need to disembark and get to the airport, plus check in.
Welcome to Trip Advisor!
Regardless of what island you mean, I don't think you have enough time. 7 am may be when the ship docks, but it takes hours for all the people on the ship to disembark. It isn't that straight forward, when you are dealing with a thousand people or more. And all that luggage!
Thanks for your response. That's what I thought. We had booked a cruise, but our noon flight was canceled. Was hopeful for another flight & saw the one at 8:13am. Will have to cancel the cruise, because I MUST be in Colorado before the day is over. Thanks again!
Well, if this is the Pride of America in Honolulu ... you can hop off quick-like-a-bunny dragging your own luggage as soon as they give you the go ahead. I've done it, no sweat. And traffic is kinder on Saturday.
BUT the problem/s is/are ... 1) the ship could be delayed or the official process of docking could be delayed. And 2) checking in at HNL can be time consuming (crowded!) ... and 3) then there are the TSA lines ... 4) finding your gate ... and 5) boarding - which begins 1/2 hour or so early.
Simply - I would not do it. Your odds are high that you wouldn't make it.
Can you fly out the day before, from another island?
No, they would have to be at the airport at least 90 minutes ahead.
You all are so kind! Yes, the port is Honolulu & it's a NCL cruiser. Will need to check if there is a way to get off earlier. Can't change the date of the flight. Absolutely must be in CO that evening. I'm thinking of canceling & choosing something else. When the flight was canceled, it ruined the whole schedule.
