Hi, can anyone recommend family friendly places to eat in Honolulu. Thanks in advance
I don't know too many restaurants in Honolulu that I would say are not family friendly. There are families in virtually every one I have ever been in.
Is there a more specific issue that you are concerned about?
Welcome to TripAdvisor!
You should post on the Island of Oahu Forum for questions specific to that Island. You are on the generic State of Hawaii Forum.
Also - we get that question consistently, so scrolling down through the Oahu Forum and reading will help you a great deal.
Hi, Thanks for your response, I don't have any specific issues was just looking for any recommendations for great places to eat with kids.Edited: 27 July 2014, 00:31
Oh now that's another question. But I'll wait to give an answer until you have a chance to post it on the Oahu forum. There are lots of great places to eat in Waikiki with kids, and most are within walking distance of most of the hotels.Edited: 27 July 2014, 02:58
As others have said, go to the Oahu forum. On the Oahu forum read the Top Questions.
There are two Top Questions for dining, Amberloo & Food & Cheap eats on Oahu.
Then near the top, click on: Waikiki Restaurants
Look for those near your hotel.
Food courts are family friendly.
There are several farmers markets in or near Waikiki throughout the week.
I had a quick look on this forum earlier today and there's heaps of nice restaurants near our hotel..... Can't wait to check out the Cheesecake Factory !
Thanks again for your advice.
Cheesecake Factory is very popular, and if you do not get there very early, it can have a long wait. So, if you are taking little ones there you should get there early if they get really irritable when they are hungry. I have seen waits as long as an hour and a half at prime dinner times, so plan accordingly.
Also, they serve huge portion sizes so you might want to think about sharing meals. My wife and I frequently order one meal and share it with each other, then buy a piece of cheesecake to take back and enjoy on the lanai later that evening.
Thanks, I'll make sure we get there early as my kids get cranky when hungry lol
