New Year's

My husband and I would like to plan 2-5 day romantic winter getaway to Maine. We would prefer staying at a B&B that includes a New Year's Eve dinner. Any suggestions?

Try checking on the Hartstone Inn in Camden. The owner is a chef that serves dinner. I know he is very popular and has his own cookbook. I don't know if they are open during the winter.

I don't know of any B&B's in Bar Harbor that serve dinner, but if you're interested in coming this way, the restaurant Havana is doing a special New Year's Eve dinner. You can check out sleepbarharbor.com for a list of B&B's open during the winter.

Well, it's not a B&B, but the Samoset Resort in Rockport (near Camden) offers two New Year's Eve packages.

Try the Inn By The Sea in Cape Elizabeth. They just renovated their entire hotel and restaurant within the last year. It's also great beacuse it is only about 15 mintes away from everything Portland has to offer.

Here is a link - www.innbythesea.com/dining/special_events/
