The leaves will be beginning to turn. The usual height of fall foliage in Acadia National Park is around October 15. The weather is seldom rainy at that time of year. Usually the highs are in the mid to upper 60s during the day, sometimes in the 70s. The nights and early mornings can be chilly -- down into the low 50s.

Some of us consider late-September and early-October to be our favorite time fo the year -- crisp (but not cold), clear, low-humidity air, brilliant blue sky -- and fall foliage as just an added bonus. Great time to visit!
