Time Allotment and Places to Stay

My family of 5, two adults and three children (ages 15,13 and 11) want to fly into Manchester, NH early July and spend a week in Maine. We can fly home out of Portland or Manchester and would like only to visit 1 thing outside of Maine....Dartmouth.

Need help with itinerary and stops along the way... Kids want lobster and lots of it..

Thank you!

The Wells/Ogunquit area is great for families and has miles of beachfront. Or were you looking for more "rocky coast" and "quaint downeast village"?

Car rates to pick up Manchester and return Portland can be exorbitant in July, so check that before booking your air tickets. In fact, book the car soon because rates are already exploding for July and August.

Dartmouth as in the college located in Hanover, New Hampshire, or Dartmouth as in the town in southeastern Massachusetts?

In either case, the Manchester (NH) airport would probably be a better bet than Portand (ME), as it would be a little more centrally located.
