What time of year are you thinking of camping.
Here are a few places you could check out -
Colwell Lake Campground (between Manistique and Shingleton)
This campground has 5 sites with Electric plug-ins. If I remember right the first 5 sites have the electricity. I know site 2 does. The sites are spead out and not that close to each other.
Indian Lake South (just West of Manistique)
Fayette Historic State Park (about 40 minutes from Manistique going Southwest)
If you come across a campground that interest you, you could post back here with the name and we might be able to give you more information about that place.
Thank you Yooperbacker I am going to check those out! =) We would like to go a few times this summer june-august.
There are also private campgrounds around some lakes.
Depends what area you like.
StrangeTripper we would not like to go to much further than Sault Ste Marie as that is 5hrs from us and we would have a full load with two small kids and a dog =) Thanks for the site I will give that a check!
heck, lake michigan campground is only about 2 hours away from you... i've camped there a coupla times and i liked it... yes, there will be some RV's, but i don't recall it being totally overrun... it's well off the main roads, and as i recall, there is access to lake michigan beaches......
