Petoskey- climb dune, look for stones, ) lavender farm, walk marina

Oden- fisheries

Bayview- look at houses

Harbor springs- lunch outside at staffords pier, boyne chair lift, walk marina, deer park

I'd also like to bike if there's a rental place on bike path

Keep in mind Lavender Hills Farm is only open on Friday and Saturday and the lavender has all been cut. Great places to buy gifts for the lavender lover on your list though!

Pond Hill Farm in Harbor Springs is a good place to take small children . . . check them out at www.pondhill.com. My grandkids love this place!

If you are in the area Saturday or Sunday, Raven Hill Discovery Center in East Jordan would be a good stop. www.ravenhilldiscoverycenter.org

And it looks like you were planning on going to Charlevoix, so I'd suggest a stop at Castle Farms. www.castlefarms.org

Thorne Swift Nature Preserve on Lower Shore Drive near Harbor Springs.

Ironton Ferry

Horton Bay General Store (Anyone, is the The Red Fox Inn & bookstore still open?)

Little Traverse History Museum Center in Petoskey. Also Bear River Prk below the Mitchell Street Bridge and the free weekday tours of Kilwins Chocolate Kitchen.

You might want to stop at Thorne Swift Nature Preserve. A few miles on M-119, north of Harbor Springs. Nice, easy trails that will take you down to Lake MI. Nature center building is open only weekends, however. There is a nice pond with observation deck/bench for watching wildlife. You might see Mr.Rresident Bullfrog sitting on his log right near the deck! Entertaining! $3 entry!

We really enjoyed the Boyne Highlands chairlift ride! You can do one at Boyne MT, also.

Maybe get a sandwich from Gurney's in HS and take it over to the park near the harbor!

In Charlevoix, check out the mushroom houses, right behind town.. Ask for directions from a local.

Thanks! Today we did pond hill, really fun! Then the deer park, playground and beach in harbor springs and finally the marina in petoskey.

Chair lifts are closed so that's out and ill also skip lavender farm

Will check out additional ideas tonight :)

If you will have seen and done everything in HS/Petoskey, then yes, I'd stay in Charlevoix.

The mushroom houses (that's what we call them), are Earl Young houses. Clinton, Grant, Park streets. People also call them hobbit, elf, fairytale, and smurf houses.

There is a very nice park/playground right there, also. I believe it is called Lake Michigan Beach/Park. Your 4y/o might like the very short hop on the Ironton Ferry, too.

No, not familiar with hotels in Charlevoix, mrs. Are they all full?
