I am very keen on taking a 7-14 day long personal solo trip this winter for self-reflection and to work on a songwriting project I have in mind.
I would like to rent (or trade) an inexpensive, small and rustic cabin in a semi-wilderness setting with plenty of opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoing, and bird-watching.
A good kitchen is important. So is a shower. And, heat is a priority. Just a nice, cozy wood-heated environment.
I am VERY competent outdoorsman. The wilderness setting is a must. I'd also like to be close enough to a decent-sized grocery store to restock as needed. I'm thinking northern Michigan to be sure of snow - maybe even the U.P.?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or ideas! Cheers!
