Cooke City or Silver gate accomodations?

Rather than staying in Cody this week (for one night) we are considering continuing on to Cooke City or Silver Gate for an overnight before heading into Yellowstone.

For a small area there are a lot of choices but with mixed reviews. We simply want one room for two but something decent. The Elkhorn Lodge looks good as do some of the cabins in Silver Gate, but is there a place to eat in Silver Gate?

Any recommendations? Thanks

I've stayed at the Elkhorn Lodge many times, the rooms are nice, big, clean and the owners are great. The Beartooth Cafe has good food. I have never eaten in Silver Gate so can't comment there. have fun!
