I'm hoping to move to Montana next year (possibly late spring/early summer 2010) but I don't know what towns I would like to live in. I am a receptionist, will be 28 years old, am single and have no kids. I am from the big city but am very small town at heart. Although I've never lived in a small town, I am sincere about wanting Montana to be my home and fitting in. Although I have quite a bit to learn about living in the country, I am willing to learn and there are no worries I'll be bringing the city with me. I love the rodeo, outdoors (camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, riding horses, ATVs and snowmobiles). I am looking for a town with a mostly younger population (20s-50s/60s), in/very near the mountains, preferably less than 1,000 people but am OK with up to 3,000. I would prefer living near a lake.
Thank you, in advance, for any suggestions.
