Place to stay from Yellow stone and seattle

On July 27, 2013 my family will have a trip back to Seattle from Yellowstone. My kid want to stop at Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. How long does it take in the museum? Which city should I stay for one night before going to Seattle? Thanks for your advice.

Plan to spend two hours in the museum itself, more possibly if they are crazy about dinosaurs! Read about maiasaurus and Jack Horner ahead of time, too.

The best thing is to exit the park at Gardiner, but West Yellowstone is ok, too. Make an overnight hotel reservation in Missoula, since you probably wouldn't get there before 5. There isn't much besides one major and one minor mountain pass between Missoula and Spokane.

The 29th and 30th are Hoopfest weekend in Spokane. The town will be entirely booked, and likely the 28th, too. So don't think you can just sail in to Spokane with no reservation on that particular weekend. I'm speaking with the voice of experience!
