Local agricultural produce, bookstores, cafés, American pies

Travelling to New Hampshire this week and next and looking for supermarkets and other venues that sell local produce (preferably organic).

Also looking for small town bookstores and cafés and home baked blueberry American pies.

What area will you be visiting? Stonewall Farm in Keene sells their own organic produce. The Farmers Market in Keene on Tues and Sat has several ofarmers that sell organic veggies. Toadstool Book Shop in Keene is locally owned, Homestead Bookshop in Marlborough is one of the areas best used book shops.

In the same Monadnock region, Peterborough has its farmers market on Wednesdays and Hancock on Saturdays (I believe Jaffrey has one on Saturdays also).

Coll's farmstand in Jaffrey would be a great place to pick up local vegetables as well.

Toadstool also has a bookstore in Peterborough with a cafe inside it.

Most of these things are available all over the state. Which areas/towns will you be going to so that we can point you in the right direction?

Thank you for answering this vague message.

I was in Vermont recently and found that many supermarkets and other more modest food markets promoted local producers. For example, Grand Union, Hannaford, City Market ( a co-op), Farmers Markets, etc., and was wondering if I can find the same in NH. All this is part of a work/fun project. The blueberry pie is for me only, I remember eating the best one on a roadside stand in the late 1990's.

In Concord we have a co-op.

There is a local bookstore across the street.

Not sure where to get a blueberry pie, I suppose I take them for granted, a few of the local lunch cafe's have them in season.

Dimond Hill farm carries fresh pies of every sort and so do many of the other local farms.
