It would help if you could give us so info on things you maybe interested in and the type of food that appeals to you. Where are you staying and for how long?

never quite make it to Littleton so no suggestions there.

But in N Woodstock is the Woodstock Inn. In Lincoln I like elvio's pizza.

also some cute shops, eats in Bethlehem.

Wendells in Franconia is worth a stop.

If you have never been to New Hampshire before, I would certainly recommend you visit Mt. Washington. You mentioned scenery, and drives. Mt.Washington offers both. You can take the Cog Railway to the top, or drive yourself on the Mt. Washington Auto Road, or take the stage, where someone else does the driving. Visit the Mt. Washington Hotel to see a fabulous hotel of the past.

We have been to Littleton several times, but have never eaten in the town, so can't offer any help there.

Bailiwick's in Littleton comes highly recommended. I haven't eaten there myself.

Visit Bethlehem, NH - lots of antique stores, great outdoor cafes like Cold Mountain Cafe and Maia Papaya and shop the unique galleries and shops. Don't miss their Farmers' Market every Saturday from 10am-2pm

Thanks to everyone who gave us suggestions. We had a nice time and saw a lot including a moose just as we were driving along a road. I was surprised about the distances between locations, they appeared shorter on the maps. Thanks again.
