RV Camping on water with actvities

We will be spending two nights in NH during the middle of June and are looking for a campsite that has wooded RV hookups overlooking a river or stream. This will be the first time using a truck slide on camper so I am looking for a campground that has activities like hiking and river/lake swimming so we can just park the truck and not have to go anywhere. Where in the state not real important just want to be a way from all the tourists if possible and spend some time in beautiful scenery. We will be traveling from Fort Ticonderoga to Bath, ME and just want to relax for two nights in NH. Any thoughts? Also any recommendations on a nice brewery and/or winery to visit? Thank you.

You do know most highways in northern New England travel north and south, traveling east from Ticonderoga, NY to Bath, ME can be complicated. If you are going to try for the most direct route you might find yourself near Tamworth, NH and White Lake State Park.

The water can still be pretty cold in mid-June and we are having a late spring this year. Many lakes here still have ice on them. However, White Lake is a pretty shallow lake and does warm up more quickly that many others. In mid-June the tourist season really hasn't started in earnest yet, so you should not be crowded. This is the website: nhstateparks.org/explore/state-parks/white-l… There is flat hiking within the park and more strenuous hiking very nearby. As far as the winery/brewery are concerned here is something a little interesting: http://saphousemeadery.com/

Have fun in our state.
