Rahway to the Statue of Liberty

How do we do this? The train to Liberty park and then the ferry? Could we go to NYC easily from the Statue of Liberty? Thanks for any replies.

NJ Transit train to Newark Penn Station.

PATH from Newark Penn Station to Exchange Place Station.

Hudson-Bergen Light Rail from Exchange Place Station to Liberty State Park Station.

#305 NJ Transit bus from Liberty Park Station to the ferry terminal.

Instead of returning to NJ when you have finished visiting the Statue of Liberty, take the ferry that goes to NYC instead. Once you are in NYC, take the NJ Transit train back to Rahway.

Just be aware that you can visit the Statue but not go inside. It is closed for repairs until the end of the year.

If you do not have a car, it may be faster to take the eastbound NJ Transit train to Newark Penn Station and then the World Trade Center PATH train to the WTC. You can then walk to the Statue of Liberty Ferry terminal in Battery Park.

The only downside of this is the Battery Park ferry terminal is more crowded than the one in Liberty State Park.

That *is* better idea. Go over to the Battery Park side.
