Highway

Does anyone know what highway Kable was driving on at the end

of the movie "Gamer" (hate to admit I watched it)? Someone said

they thought it was in New Mexico.

I missed "Gamer," but if you would like to see some of Albuquerque and surrounding areas in New Mexico, you might check out the comedy, "Wild Hogs," with Tim Allen, & John Travolta..

The Middle-agers "roadtrip" on Harleys supposedly starts out in Cincinnati, but even that was filmed in the old Country Club area south of our historic Old Town. Pretty funny too.

Gamer was definitely filmed in and around Albquerque, and we were accidentally involved in some of the action one evening during an art show in downtown. We stepped outside the gallery door just in time to hear explosions and see lots of smoke coming down the street toward us. Later we watched a "set person" pick up a gigantic piece of a building and calmly walk away -- it was apparently made of paper or styrofoam.

Here's the thing: virtually none of the scenery or backdrops actually existed in Albuquerque -- they were CGI. A HUGE set was being prepared and then the budget was dramatically cut, so things were drawn in on the screen.

I've tried to see which road it was in the area, but still haven't figured it out.
