Mets tickets and accessibility

Will be staying next May for a few nights and want to take in a baseball game. Are tickets for the Mets quite easy to buy in advance? Also, we'll be staying somewhere around Times Square - how much would a cab cost to the Mets ground? I imagine the underground would be simpler, although we'd been put off using it by stories we've heard.

You can take the 7 train to the second to last stop and there should be no problems with safety. The trains are very crowded.

Buying Mets tickets in advance should be no problem.
