First post, but I'm been following this forum for quite a while when planning our forthcoming trip to NYC. Some background info: We are a couple in our thirties, staying at the Chelsea Pines Inn for seven nights in the beginning of June. Our main interests are exploration of neighborhoods, famous landmarks, people watching and good food.
Our itinerary is below. Any input is highly appreciated, please also see the specific questions.
I have some trouble putting Saturday and Sunday together. We want to use these two days to see Tenement Museum, West Village, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Soho as well as a food tour in Greenwich Village (this is booked) and go to the Big Apple Barbeque Party at Madison Square Park. Of these areas Chinatown has the lowest priority and West Village the highest. We first thought of starting at the Tenement Museum, then working our way towards Soho and West Village via Chinatown with a side trip to Madison Square Park. However, the tours at the Tenement start quite late, so now we are thinking of doing Chinatown first, then Tenement, then lunch at the barbeque block party and back to where we left off. Any suggestions on how to do this the best way?
