Short Visit

We are taking a road trip thsi summer from Toronto to Tennesee and through NC for a couple of days. I have never been and was wondering where the best place to stay for a couple of days would be. It is just my boyfriend and I and we are in our late 20's.

If you;re going to be in Tennessee, the logical trip into North Carolina would be through The Great Smoky Mountains National Park into Cherokee. (There's a casino there)

You could then spend some time in th mountains seeing Dillsboro, Bryson City, Sylva, Maggie Valley and Waynesville. You could use any of them as a base. There's river rafting on the Cataloochee River just south of Dillsboro.

If you have enough time left over, you could go into Asheville and tour the fabulous Biltmore estate and gardens.

I guess I've given you much to see and do for a couple of days. Enjoy NC!

Are you going to Tennessee through NC or vice versa, and where in Tennessee do you plan to end up? At your age, I think Boone or especially Asheville make more sense.
