Family looking for quiet, afforable (close to) beach rental

Grandma and grandpa will join us with our 4 year old daugter for 2 weeks close or at the beach vacation around the end of May. We like little fisherman's villages.

We like it quiet and not touristy, we like hiking. Looking for an affordable rental house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath.

Any suggestions?

Check out Calabash NC, Carolina Shores area. Fishing village and close to beaches. Not really going to find, at least not around here a fishing village on the ocean. You did not say where exactly you wanted to be. Research the area on line, you will get suggestions for rentals. Calabash is famous for its great seafood restaurants.

Forgot to mention, Calabash is on NC/SC boarder, that may be too far south for you. DO NOT COME anywhere near Myrtle Beach in May as we have 2 large bike weeks, that does not equate to quiet. Calabash is close to MB but you really should not have a problem with alot of bikers there.

You may wish to consider the Outer Banks of NC. It is very family friendly with great fishing.

Carolina Beach/Kure Beach area is quiet, old fashioned typical

beach town. Lots of neat little shops, resturants. Very nice Aquarium and ferry is great fun.

We stayed at Ocean Dunes in Ft. Fisher. Contact:
