eastern PA or NJ B&B

1) Has anyone used the B&B gift cards, eg B&B.com, and what was your experience? especially, re number of B&B choices and availability, and lack of expiration date...

2) Can anyone suggest a nice B&B in eastern PA or NJ, with nearby sites of interest/shopping/wineries/etc for a weekend get-away?

We want to give a gift to family members who have been doing a lot of the hands-on tasks re helping an elderly mother, which we're too far away to do.

thanks

There are several B&B's in the Lancaster area that take the BedandBreakfast.com gift cards. Lancaster is great for shopping and there are several wineries (though they are quite spread out all over the county). There are lots of wonderful reviews of B&B's here on T/A. A good tool for searching for the best B&B's in Lancaster - www.authenticbandb.com. You can search amenities and availability of almost 40 B&B's. Additionally, make sure you check the BedandBreakfast.com website to see which of the B&B's take the gift cards. Some of the B&B's also offer their own gift certificates.

not familiar with the gift cards but the New Hope area has many excellent B&B's if they are on this list. Great places to explore including Lambertville, Washington Crossing and less than 30 minutes to Princeton. If at all nervous about acceptance, suggest a phone call to reassure yourself.
