I70, I76 and US220 tolls

We will be entering Pennsylvania on I70 and traveling through on I76 and US220.

Google Maps indicates that these are toll roads. Can someone tell me how much the tolls are and the best way to pay for them? Thanks!

The attached link is the toll calculator for the PA Turnpike I76. The PA Turnpike does use the E-Z Pass or you can pay cash. There is a discounted toll rate for E-Z Pass.

Thanks for your help. AAA maps suggests going through via US 79 instead. Any opinions on which way is better would be appreciated.

Guessing this is the route AAA suggested: http://goo.gl/maps/itKRS

I am guessing your original idea was something such as this: http://goo.gl/maps/jWJlF

Given those two options, I personally would go the AAA suggested option which will keep you away from DC... Note, you will have two pinch points in traffic - the I-77 & I-81 interchange in Wytheville and the I-70 & I-79 interchange in Washington - both of which are easier to handling than the DC traffic IMO.

Here is a third option to consider which uses US-17 to stay away from DC: http://goo.gl/maps/eT4t8 (I've taken this bypass before and it is a nice drive.)

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking the same thing, avoid DC at all costs!

Most defintely avoid the I95 corridor. You will have a much more pleasant drive taking the western route.
