We would really like to go to a food or beer festival in the time between 21-24th of august, somewhere in pennsylvania.

But we dont know of any or where to go.. It can be a country fair aswell.

We just want experiece the real american style! :)

Happy to hear any ideas :)

Doing a quick search on your dates & the route you will most likely travel through Pennsylvania, I found the Centre County Grange Fair on August 22 - 29, 2013. This is not directly on your route, but not too far off.

The following are two websites that list festivals & fairs in Pennsylvania.

If you decide to visit the Grange Fair, it will be a unique experience for sure. It is one of the few remaining encampment fairs in the USA. People actually live at the fair for several days in historic camp sites. There are lots of different food booths having everything from pizza and burgers to pierogies and hot sausage sandwiches. Also wonderful sweets like dumplings, ice cream, cotton candy, etc. There are many displays of produce, quilts, crafts and cooking, as well as farm animals. It would be an interesting glimpse into rural America. Nearby in Milheim is the Elk Creek Cafe, which has great food and craft beer. Also in this area is the Pennsylvania State University, one of the largest in the US. It's located in a nice little college town with plenty of restaurants, including some decent ethnic places, and good bars, too.
