Crabbing in Narragansett

Going to Narragansett for a week in August for a family reunion vacation. Never been to the area, but the guys in the group are more interested in fishing/crabbing rather than the sight seeing or children's zoo:) Any suggestions on where to go? We like to stand on the pier using a liner or net instead of going out on a boat.

Go to the Galilee Escape Road. There are culverts that pass beneath this road... you will have to park along side the road get out and scout to find them These are generally good crabbing spots. This whole salt water pond... usually called Salt Pond by locals... is a good shell fishing spot. And if you fail to hit pay dirt there are several fish markets in Galillee itself here you can purchase crabs.
