Honeymoon in Charleston idea

would like to spend 3-4 nights in Charleston for honeymoon on a budget....any good vacation packages or ideas for Mid week in September. Would like to be close to walk to everything .... or opt for beachfront with a day visit to the city.

Try Charleston Harbor Resort, just across the water from Charleston, but they do provide a shuttle, or the water taxi should still be running then.

Also look into Mills House or Best Western King Charles.

We can do better w/suggestions if you tell us in $$$ what your nightly budget is.

If you want to walk to everything.... you need to stay in the historic district. When looking for hotels, be aware that "historic district" and "downtown" are NOT the same thing. Downtown will not be walkable distance to the things you will want to see and do. The Best Western King Charles Inn is one of the more reasonable hotels in the HD.

There are not many beach front hotels. One of Folly Beach and 3 on the Isle of Palms. No hotels on Sullivan's Island.
