ideas on itenerary

Im thinking about going to South Carolina for 2 weeks in June or July for 2 weeks, we are looking for beach, golf, outdoors i.e. canoeing and a bit of culture. We will have a car. Does anyone know if this is achievable? If yes can you suggest an itinerary Thanks in advance.

I would suggest the Charleston area. Lots of history, culture, museums, things to do and see, great restaurants that have been written up in publications all of the US. Local beaches ~ the Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, (20 min from historic downtown), Kiawah Island (45 min from historic downtown).

You don't say where you are from, July will definitely be hotter than June.

Myrtle Beach has MANY golf courses, but is much more crowded and touristy. No real history to speak of in that area.

Do you want to travel around? or stay in the same location for 2 weeks? You could easily stay one place and make day trips to other areas or take a week in each of 2 different locations.

Take a day or two in Beaufort. Nice little town with shops and restaurants and relaxing waterfront park. On the way, stop at Old Sheldon Church ruins - a very peaceful place.

BTW, start now with lodging reservations - you're going to be there during peak season.
