Cost to drive through parks

Hello, I am planning a trip to the grand canyon via South Dakota and am having a hard time finding out if there are entry fees to certain roads that run through parks I plan on traveling through.

If anyone can comment if they've been through a particular area as I have planned below and if there were fees or not, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Here is the route through the Badlands

Yes there is an entrance fee to Badlands NP, $15 per car and good for 7 days according to the website. There is a fee to enter Custer State Park and Crazy Horse Monument that are similar. Mt Rushmore is free but $10 to park in the garage there but the pass is good until end of the year.

The Badlands has a $15 vehicle fee good for 7 days. From what I can see on your map, you will be paying this.

Mt. Rushmore has an $11 parking fee good for 1 year if you go inside the monument.

Custer State Park has a $15 vehicle fee good for 7 days also. Everyone is responsible for paying this fee unless you are driving only over Iron Mountain Rd. I don't think you will be avoiding this based on your map.

Thank you both for your response. I have learned that my route through the badlands is a gravel road which presents a problem. Can anyone tell me if this route is gravel anywhere else along the way in SD?

Rt. 240 is not a gravel road. I looked at your map again, and maybe I'm not interpreting it correctly, but it looks to me that you will not be on gravel. As long as you stay on 240 (Badlands Loop Rd) and go out the Pinnacles Entrance to Wall, you will be on paved road. Sage Creek Rd is gravel, but you don't have to go on it if you choose not to.

I didn't see any other parts of your route that would be gravel.
