Confused About Foiliage Peaks

Currently in the outer banks of NC, trying to get on up to Vermont, beginning at Burington, October 13; on to White River Jct Oct 14-16. Several posts indicate peak season already. What is the anticipated status Oct 14-16 in the White River Jct area?

Thanks

I'm in White River Junction right now, overnight stay on business.

The foliage colors are near peak now in this area, and will be past peak but likely still reasonably colorful a week to 10 days from now.

Agreed. There will be pockets of color. The bulk of the trees will be well past. It'll still be pretty in spots, though the panoramas will be moving on to our winter browns, greys & pine greens. :)

Djjman31501,

Unless it rains a lot...you'll find enough colour to exhaust your camera...you'll just have to look a little harder. It's a myth that the colour suddenly ends.....it peaks sure but go another 5 miles down a valley a little lower and suddenly you'll see some wonderful vistas......

Thanks guys. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy the colors starting next Monday. I'll keep reading your posts and will have an idea of where I will need to look.

Thanks again for everything.
