Gorgeous: Sunsets over the Adirondaks, seen from the Burlington waterfront. Views from the top of Mt. Mansfield's toll road.

Views my three favorite - Merck Forest in Rupert VT http://www.merckforest.org/ park, sign in and walk a few minute part the barn, and part way up the hill. It is breath taking, even sitting here writing about it take my breath away.

Burr & Burton Academy in Manchester VT http://www.burrburton.org/ drive up behind the school at just dusk, park in the circle and between the buildings facing east. The only way to describe this is magical as the lights of the village come on across the valley.

West Newbury VT. This is a beautiful tiny eye blink of a village. If you drive past the village turn left onto Tucker Mnt RD then take the first right onto Halls Lake Rd. Look off to your right and you will see views across a huge valley of the NH Presidential range.

History top three - The St Johnsbury Athenaeum http://www.stjathenaeum.org/

The President Calvin Coolidge site http://www.historicvermont.org/coolidge/

The Center Shaftsbury Cemetery [I know this seems a bit strange, but really worth checking out] communitywalk.com/location/…2128168

Now I have a extra that give you both your view and history. The Bennington Battle Monument http://www.historicvermont.org/bennington/

The drive along Route 9 from Brattleboro to Bennington, at almost any time of year. Tons of lovely views, gorgeous mountains every where you look, heavily wooded forests, rolling hills, etc.

In addition to all of the above: Route 89 north especially after exit 4. Great views of Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield. Also anywhere on route 100.

Here's another one: Shelburne Farms, and the Inn at Shelburne Farms, just south of Burlington. This large piece of land is a working farm-museum, but in a grand style (think wealthy gentleman farmer) -- a beautiful spot to see Vermont cows, and other critters. The Inn can be visited even if you don't want to stay overnight. You might consider getting a meal in the restaurant, which is very good. The Inn sits on a point of land in Lake Champlain -- spectacular!
