Death Race in Pittsfield, VT

Hello,

My son in law is participating in the Death Race in June 24-?, We are looking for lodging for the rest of the family to stay during the race. The race takes place on Amee Farm, not sure where else we can stay. Amee Farm is a bit pricey and just looking for other options. What would be the closest town, Killington? Looking for a clean comfortable place that is close to the race. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Evening Natalie0903,

Killington is about 10 minutes from Pittsfield and at that time of year will have deals. The Cortina Inn has reopened with new owners and may have some deals. They were closed for about three years.

In Rochester, to the north of Pittsfield, and is about the same distance to Pittsfield is Liberty Hill Farm Inn..not sure how this will compare rate wise, but it does include dinner and breakfast and is a working farm, and rated as a top farm stay by Yankee magazine in 2010.

In the Killington area, 3 top rated and moderate price places are, Killington Motel, Summit Lodge and Resort, and Killington Pico Motor Inn. Cortina Inn may also be worth a check.

Let us know what you choose and how it works out. Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestions. Do you know how far the suggested places are from Pittsfield? Would I be better trying to stay right in Pittsfiled?

Thanks, Natalie

Decided to rent a room at the Amee Farm in Pittsfield. The inn keeper was very nice and accomodating. I am looking forward to our stay there. Thanks for all of the advice!
