Best Birdwatching Areas

I am an avid birdwatcher and traveling to Vermont for the first time in early October. Would love to know some great locations for birdwatching throughout the State. We will be staying in the Northeast Kingdom, Stowe, Southern Vermont and Burlington Areas. We will be driving through a good part of the state so appreciate some tips. Thanks for the help!

Check with the Vermont Audubon Society. In New Hampshire there are several outings in the Keene area that focus on the fall migrations. I'm sure Vermont has many similar outings, but check for road closures, etc,. due to the hurricane.

Dead Creek in Addison is an excellent bird watching area. No flood problems in that area.
