Peak Foliage

Hi

My Husband and I will be traveling to Vermont either the weekend of October 1st or Oct 8th. Which towns will be near Peak during the 1st and during the weekend of the 8th. Our base will be in Manchester.

Thanks

Lisa

Afternoon Lisa aka lahern98,

Most central areas of the State should have peak colour...but it is not an exact science. One can only tell much nearer the time. However make you room reservations before you come as at our inn any cancellations are being re-booked within days. There are a couple of foliage maps operated by the State so Google for State tourism sites

Lisa, your best bet is to ask your innkeeper when you get here. Nobody can tell at this point in time.

The northern 1/2 of the state should be near peak at that time. You can dial it in when you're here.... if the colors are late, go north and go to the higher elevation towns like Stowe. If the colors are early, go south and/or to Lake Champlain.
