Where to taste a variety of wines all at once?

Hello,

Are there any great places to taste a variety of wines from different Vermont vineyards? We are touring around the Burlington/middlebury/shelburne/waterbury areas.

I thought maybe there might be some type of wine store that does tastings. We are only there a short time and don't have time to tour several vineyards but I want to stock up on different wines before we go home.

There are many places around the state that offer tasting, but mostly of their own wines. You might be happy with the Burlington Wine Shop [web site listed below] or Dedalus Wine Shop also in Burlington.

Also for your info here is a web site that list all of Vermont's winery's with a Google map. Many are located close together, so you might be able to hit quite few. http://www.catchwine.com/wineries/vermont/

IMHO, the fun of getting local wines is having done the tour. Why don't you do some research and pick one out. At least in my area, local vineyards frequently have fall weekend festivals, sometimes music, etc to make it more of an event. You can always pick up a couple of bottles and try them out. Won't set you back too far if you don't like it. While I have more experience with the local beers, can't say whether any local wines are any good.
