Best place to see fall colours?

Out of Vermont and New Hampshire, which is the best place to see fall colors during 2nd-3rd week of October? Also if someone can provide the exact place where we should go in either of these places would really appreciate the same?

We have 2 days to see the same.

Morning Phataka,

If I could give you the answer to the 'best place'...I'd be a very wealthy man or telling complete fibs! Place are numerous and all are unique.

Both locations can be great, the States are large and you want to aim for the middle or lower portions of either State.

All I stress is BOOK your lodging rooms before you arrive!

Probably want to plan for the middle-to-southern parts of either state. Peak colors in the north are generally the first week of Oct. Woodstock might be a nice central home base.

Check out the Upper Valley area in Central VT/NH! Windsor, Vermont is located right in the heart of this area on the Connecticut River and features the longest wooden covered bridge in the US. Harpoon Brewery is in town and offers tours on the weekends. They also serve lunch and dinner. Simon Pearce glass blowers are also located in Windsor and offer free tours of their glass making process and pottery. You are also close to Mt. Ascutney State Park which offers amazing views from the peak (either drive near the top for a short hike or hike from the bottom). The area also includes amazing restaurants in Quechee, Hanover, and Woodstock (all just 20 minutes from Windsor). Not to mention the shopping, antique stores, museums, and many, many outdoor activities. Come see us or let us know if you have any additional questions! Thanks!
