Travelling around Vermont

Just wondering if there are any public modes of transport in Vermont? I am thinking of travelling from Burlington to Montreal and also to Boston and...any other places that you will recommend.

I love nature - waterfalls, mountains, lakes etc. But I dislike museums.

Any suggestion on places to visit and forms of transportation will be deeply appreciated.

Burlington, Essex, Williston has a bus route - http://www.cctaride.org/main.php

Amtrak has a train that runs from Southern Vermont to St Albans - "The Vermonter". I think they might then have a bus to get you to Montreal.
