Family Outdoor Resort

We would love to spend a few days at a resort in Virginia which is geared for family outdoor fun and includes some or all of the following:

1. horse back riding trails (we really would like this feature)

2. scenic hiking trails

3. outdoor pool

4. fishing/canoeing/lake

5. good restaurant

6. upgraded and clean suite accommodations or separate house/condo

Thank you so much for your suggestions. It is really appreciated!!!

In Virginia there's the Homestead in Hot Springs. Just a short drive away into WEST Virginia is the Greenbrier. Both sound like what you are looking for.

Many thanks for the two suggestions. I do know about The Homestead and the Greenbrier. However, I am looking for a place to stay that is a little more casual of an atmosphere. We also don't need the access to several restaurants on the property. If there were kitchen facilities in a suite, we could do some cooking.

Friends have stayed here in the past and liked it. Don't know how it is now. See if it suits.
