Here is a website you should go to to learn about things to do and see that will interest you. Your "must see" is a personal thing. The link will help. You can also get maps and brochures about various cities. Chuck...

First of all while in Spokane make sure and wonder around Riverfronnt park it's right in the middle of town but lots to see there.

then on your way over you'll go through some farming county check the signs along the fences and it will tell you what crops are being grown. Then you'll go through the gorge of the Columbia river.

For some interesting and fascinating history of the largest floods the world has ever known you'll see some of the results from Spokane to the gorge.

Above all have a good time while you are in this part of the world.

Any questions please ask.

One day there will be a 60 foot tall Lava Lamp in Soap Lake. That will be worth seeing! Soap Lake is a destination spa for many Europeans. It is not fancy but has mineral water.

Cave B Winery is in a beautiful location, especially if there is no concert going on at the Gorge Amphitheater. Be sure to cross check the schedule. It is in George, Washington.

Taking Hwy 2 across the state has more charm but will take an extra two hours, more if you stop in some of the charming locations. If you're in a rush, get on I-90 and head west. You will often see the cloud bank as you cross the summit of the Cascades. Welcome to Seattle!

ainwa good advice but taking highway 2 to Chelan doesn't take an extra 2 hours maybe a half hour that's all, most people that live in Chelan and make regular trips here take 2 as it has a lot less traffic and can be faster. It's about 3 or 31/2 hours either way.

I stand by my above post for history and scenery but will add the wineries...

Lots of wine winners around the area.
