Where are the best restaurants in the D.C. area? Or at least a "restaurant row" of some sort so we can do some browsing . . .

1. Re: Restaurants

Wherever you are in the area, you're more likely no more than 15 minutes from a great cluster of restaurants with lots of choices. Closest to the tourist areas in DC proper--speaking for clusters, there are of course excellent restaurants without much around them--Georgetown leaps out along with Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, and the K Street corridor. In suburban Maryland, close-in Bethesda packs something like over 100 restaurants of all ethnicities and price ranges in a ten square-block area.

Everyone has their own opinions, but a good place to start might be with Washingtonian Magazine's 100 Best list. You can query it by location and see what's situated close to you. I'm sure others will chime in as well with recommendations.
