April Vacation

Will the DC area be very crowded in April? Will trying to drive and find a place to park be a big hassle? What is the best way to travel to the National Mall fron I 99/295 area? Helpful hints will be appreciated. Thanks. Lewis

April begins the height of the tourist season in Washington, and depending on your exact dates could include the Cherry Blossom Festival or spring break for a lot of schools. So yes, chances are it would be crowded.

There are a lot of discussions on the board for spring break trips, you may want to browse the forum for similar trips.

The best hint I can think of is: Don't drive into the city unless your hotel is there. Park it in the hotel and leave it there until you are ready to go home.
