Penn Qtr/Chinatown

After reading many posts, Penn Qtr/Chinatown seems to be in a good location to stay visiting DC. Now the question is, what hotel? Probablly going end of Oct or first weekend in November (thurs-Mon), 2 adults 1 teen. Looking for under $200 a night.-actually closer to $150.00 if possible. Thanks!

I also meant to say, that the Mall would be our main area of sightseeing-

The cheaper options are the Fairfield Inn & Suites at 500 H Street NW and the Hampton Inn and Suites on 6th Street NW.

Between the Fairfield and the Hampton-is one closer to the Mall, or are they about equal?

Thank-you!

The Fairfield Inn is a bit closer, but not by very much. Not quite 2 blocks apart. The Monaco and Courtyard are the closest in that part of town. And they are only closer by another 2 blocks.

We stayed at Hampton Inn on 6th - very nice at $150.

Really depends on the date though - it can be $130-$250/nt
