what to do near Dulles International

We have an overnight layover at Dulles; our connecting flight doesn't depart until 5:40 pm. Any suggestions for a morning/lunch adventure in the DC area?

If you get up early, you can easily make it into D.C., see a couple of the major tourist spots (e.g. Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, a Smithsonian Museum), and then make it back to Dulles for your flight. Please see the top question thread (above and to the right) on how best to get from Dulles into DC and back.

If you don't want to go into DC (which is very do-able), Udvar-Hazy in the am and Reston Town Center for a late lunch could occupy you.
