Hotel Suggestion near a metro station

I am looking for a hotel suggestion for DC. We'd like it as close to any of the metro stations as possible so we don't have to lug our suitcases really far and we really don't want to have to take a taxi. And if it is a hotel close to metro as well as stumbling distance to good food and drink that is a plus too!

Our budget is up to 200.00 a night since we are splitting it.

Thanks for your help!

Need dates and how many people (bed configuration). Prices of hotels vary daily in the DC area. Also where are you flying into?

What are your exact dates of travel? Today's $200 hotel could be tomorrow's $400 hotel given that rates change day to day in D.C.

Looks like you have lots of good choices within your budget for that night. Take a look at the options below you can pull up on kayak.com (prices don't include tax / fees):

Sofitel (15th St) $190 a night -- my favorite hotel in D.C. Taxes take you a bit over your budget, but this hotel is excellent.

JW Marriott (14th and Penn) $169 a night -- great deal on a great hotel in a great location. I would grab this if your $200 is a hard cap.

If you want cheaper:

Renaissance Washington (9th St. NW) $109 a night

Washington Marriott (22nd St) $99 a night (not the closest to Metro, but near some great restaurants)

And there are some other viable choices available too.
