Thomas circle area

I'm thinking of booking the Washington plazza hotel in aug traveling with my wife and 13 year old daughter is the a nice area ?. We are on a budget of about $200 a night or are there better places to stay on that budget , we do like the look of the outdoor pool there

Thomas Circle is even nicer since they rearranged the traffic. Be sure to walk the 3 blocks up Vermont Avenue to Logan Circle to see some of DC's grand old houses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Circle

Darrell6t is correct and if you head out and turn right onto 14th Street there is an abundance of restaurants for every budget along with art galleries to browse and theatre too. Enjoy.
